Hello and welcome to IACOA! My name is Jane Levenhagen and I am the President of IACOA for the term year 2014–2015. I am the owner of Security Incorporated, based in Michigan City, Indiana, and it is my honor to serve my fellow Cash in Transit operators.
As IACOA begins its 42nd year, it is evolving to mirror the changes within our industry. At our recent Annual Meeting in Fort Worth, Texas, our members approved a significant revision to our bylaws and gave our Board a mandate to expand our membership base.
There are scores of companies engaged in the business of securing, transporting, and/or processing valuables. These companies may not utilize armored cars themselves or contract with CIT companies, but they are performing similar services in their daily operations. IACOA wants to welcome many of these companies into its membership as a new category of member. By sharing information and networking, I fully expect that they can learn as much from our current membership as we can learn from them.
I ask that all our operator and vendor members seek out non-traditional armored companies that operate in your service or sales areas. Have them give the IACOA Administrator, John Margaritis, a call, or ask if it’s okay for him to call or email them. If you’re a new member candidate, let us know about your challenges and we’ll suggest solutions or point you in the right direction. Many of our operators have been in the business for generations and are more than willing to share their knowledge and expertise.
2015 will be a great year and I look forward to seeing you at our next annual conference at the Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront Hotel, May 2–4, 2015. Save the Date!
